Senior Pastor

Pastor Jadinah Sejour Gustave

Pastor Jadinah serves as Senior Pastor alongside her husband, Pastor Fritz. She brings warmth, prayer, and a heart for discipleship to every corner of church life. As the daughter of the late Rev. Joel Sejour, she carries forward a family legacy of faithful ministry into the next generation of Deliverance.

A Shared Calling

Husband and wife, called together.

Pastors Fritz and Jadinah serve as a team. They share the pulpit, the pastoral office, and the day-to-day care of the congregation. Their leadership style reflects what the church itself believes: that ministry is not a solo work but the labor of a family, in covenant with God and with one another.

Under their joint leadership, Deliverance is a church in motion, gathering for worship and study, preparing believers for baptism, and engaging the civic life of Miami.

Our History

A congregation built on faithful ministry.

Miami Deliverance Church of the Nazarene stands on a foundation laid by those who came before, in the prayer, preaching, and pastoral care of generations who gave their lives to this work.

From its earliest gatherings, Miami Deliverance has been a Haitian Nazarene congregation in the heart of Miami, a community shaped by the joys and struggles of a people called to faith across two languages and two cultures. The church grew through the steady labor of pastors, lay leaders, and families who built it ministry by ministry, year by year.

Today's congregation, under the leadership of Pastors Fritz and Jadinah Sejour Gustave, continues this story. Every Sunday School class, every prayer service, every Bible study in English and in Kreyòl, every act of outreach is one more chapter in a history that began long before us and reaches forward into generations yet to come.

The story of Deliverance, however, cannot be told without remembering the man whose ministry shaped the church and the family that now leads it: the late Rev. Joel Sejour.

In Loving Memory

Rev. Joel SejourPastor & Father

A Legacy Remembered

The faithful ministry of the late Rev. Joel Sejour.

The late Rev. Joel Sejour was a faithful servant of Christ, a preacher of the Word, and a shepherd to those entrusted to his care. He served the people of God with humility and conviction, and the fruit of his ministry continues in the lives he touched, the families he prayed for, and the children he raised in the faith.

For Pastor Jadinah Sejour Gustave, his legacy is personal. He was her father, and his ministry was the soil in which her own calling took root. The voice that first taught her to pray, to preach, and to love the church is woven into the leadership she now offers Deliverance alongside Pastor Fritz.

"The righteous will be remembered forever." (Psalm 112:6)

His name remains spoken with honor in this congregation. The work of his hands is not finished, because the church he loved continues to gather, to grow, and to send. May his memory be a blessing.

Carrying the Legacy Forward

One ministry, passed in faith.

What was begun in one generation is now stewarded by the next. Three values shape how the pastoral team carries this legacy into the life of Deliverance today.

Rooted

Faithful to the Word

The teaching that anchored Rev. Sejour's ministry continues to anchor ours. Scripture is read, taught, and lived out, in English and in Kreyòl, week after week.

Empowered

Praying without ceasing

From Tuesday prayer service to the daily virtual prayer line, prayer is the heartbeat of Deliverance. It was the heartbeat of the ministry that came before, and it remains so today.

Transforming

Loving every generation

Children, youth, young adults, families, and elders all have a place. The work of the church is to love every person who walks through the door, and to send them out loving others.
