Baptism Class · Klas Batèm

The Journey Into the Waters.

Six weeks. Six sessions. One decision that will shape your entire life.
This is not a checkbox class. This is a preparation for something eternal.

Why This Class Is Different

You will not hear this in most churches.

Baptism is not a graduation ceremony. It is not a family tradition to check off. It is not a rite of passage that comes with your fourteenth birthday. Baptism is a funeral for the person you used to be — and a resurrection into the person Christ is making you.

Over six weeks we will look at what your English Bible obscures: the Greek word baptizō means to plunge, to submerge, to be transformed by immersion. The word doulos means slave — willing, permanent, joyful. We will look at what your culture inherited and what Scripture demands. We will not soften anything.

By the end you will either be transformed or offended. Either way, God will be at work in you. This course is that important.

The Two Commitments

Before you enroll, you must commit to two things.

1

Four Consecutive Sundays

You will attend Sunday worship at Miami Deliverance for at least four consecutive Sundays. If you miss one, you start the four-week count over. This is not attendance-taking for its own sake — it is because baptism is entry into a community, and you must experience that community before you enter it.

2

Complete the Course

You will complete all six sessions. Every slide. Every quiz. Every written reflection. No skipping. Each slide has a minimum viewing time of six minutes because reflection cannot be rushed. Full completion is required to schedule your baptism.
